REOISRI CEO Joins Asia Pacific University as Adjunct Professor Professor Romanus Osabohien’s International Appointment Strengthens REOISRI’s Global Academic Footprint

 

The REO Institute for Strategic Research and Innovation (REO-ISRI) proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone in the academic journey of its Chief Executive Officer, Professor Romanus Osabohien, following his appointment as an Adjunct Professor at the Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), Malaysia, for a two-year tenure commencing on 13 July 2026.

This prestigious international appointment reflects Professor Osabohien’s growing reputation as a globally respected scholar whose work continues to shape conversations on sustainable development, climate finance, renewable energy, institutional economics and inclusive development. It also reinforces REOISRI’s commitment to fostering research excellence, innovation and international academic partnerships. 

As Adjunct Professor, Professor Osabohien will contribute to APU’s academic and research community through postgraduate teaching, guest lectures, doctoral supervision, faculty mentorship, collaborative research and the development of strategic international partnerships. His appointment represents an important opportunity to strengthen knowledge exchange between Africa and Asia while promoting evidence-based solutions to pressing global development challenges.

Professor Osabohien is recognised among the Top 2% of Scientists Worldwide, according to the globally respected Stanford University–Elsevier ranking, a testament to the impact of his scholarly contributions. With more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, extensive international collaborations and editorial responsibilities in leading scientific journals, he continues to advance research that informs policy and supports sustainable development across emerging and developing economies. 

For REOISRI, this appointment extends beyond individual recognition. It represents another significant step in the Institute’s mission to transform research into impact by building strategic collaborations with leading universities and research institutions worldwide. Through Professor Osabohien’s international engagements, REOISRI is expanding opportunities for collaborative research, postgraduate mentorship, capacity development and global knowledge exchange.
